Ian Dory's Strong was a passion project by us at Mind Frame Cinema. Ian Dory isn't your average pro climber. Between working on his family farm, coaching at a local gym, and going to school, it took him two years to prepare for his ascent of Paint It Black (V15) in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. This striking short film by Nelson Carayannis and Mind Frame Cinema follows the hard-working and down-to-earth Dory as he fails repeatedly in his pursuit to send one of the hardest problems in the West.
